I apologize for not acknowledging them sooner. I was so overwhelmed at the last, that I lost track of blogging life. Thank you all, especially Tomoko, who has been ill. I was so sorry to learn that you had not been well, I hope you are feeling much better.
Now that I am here I step back in time a bite. I have no car, no TV, no dishwasher or microwave, & no computer or access to the Internet . I ride my bike 8 k to the next town to use the wifi in a cafe. So I will not be able to follow your blogs as closely & my posting will be even more sporadic than usual. My thanks & apologies in advance.
Although, I lack many modern convenances, I am taking life slower & taking the time to smell the flowers, as they say. I am replacing fast paced rituals with simpler ones. Slowly, I am finding the simple pleasure of each morning sweeping the rose petals from my front walkway, to be as meaning full as my more modern rituals left behind.
Dear Sally.
ReplyDeleteYou are surrounded by such lovely flowers! I also love to find simple pleasure and small beauties in my daily lives.
Thank you Sally. I have completely recovered from my asthma! I take medicines in spring and autumn. However, I am guilty of sometimes forgetting to take care of myself!!
Rainy season has begun in Japan. The green leaves and hydrangea are beautiful in the rain. Sally, please take care.
Tomoko.
I am sending my comment using a different way, because of Google trouble.
Lovely to see you have arrived in your other world.Sweeping rose petals from the doorway seems straight out of a fairytale.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your summer!
I sigh to think of you in that darling French village. Such sweet peace! Enjoy some quiet time, Sally.
ReplyDeleteWell, living in France sounds heavenly. No wifi, I would have to draw the line there. How could I make everyone jealous of my fabulous life in France if I couldn't blog about it?
