I took this photo in a sleepy little town not far from my own village. I have no idea why there is an American flag in the door. But I can assure you, that it is not the home of an American. That making it all the more interesting to me. It did, however, seem like the perfect photo to wish everyone back home a very happy 4th of July!
Happy 4th to you, Sally. I'm sure you must feel a little pang about missing the 4th, but just remember that it's hot and sticky, and crowded most places. We eat too many hot dogs and fireworks have been going off for days now. Enjoy your peaceful 4th.
