There is a sense of coming home when I cross that little bridge into the village for the first time each year. A sense of joy & peace as I return to my summer life in France.
This was the first time in over twenty years of coming here that I did not arrive with the sunshine. It was overcast & windy with a sprinkling of showers. Nevermind, I was treated to a beautiful rainbow & magnificent sunset.
How happy I am to be in my little house again!
Exquisite in every way! I'm so delighted you are back "home" across the sea!
ReplyDeleteI hope the sunshine will come back soon! Et.... bienvenue en France Sally ;)
ReplyDeleteSo happy for you, imagining the feeling of coming home into your little stone house.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that! It was a long exciting journey from Charleston wasn't it! Your surrounding looks so cozy!
ReplyDeleteTake care!
I am green with envy!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, hope the sun shone today. Up in Bourgogne it's been lovely today. We've had a mixed bag though. Love the colour of the 'volets' and those roses.
ReplyDeleteWow, Sally, this is beautiful!! :) What an amazing place to spend your summer in. I can't wait to see more pictures. Have a wonderful time there.
