Pinterest

Oh dear, I have spent a ridiculous amount of time, this weekend, playing around with Pinterest, as if I needed, one more internet activity, to become addicted to. I am a little late in discovering this newest form of social media, so if you are already on Pinterest you will probably know what I mean. The best that I can tell , is that this site gives you cyber bulletin boards on which to pin all those favorite things one finds on the internet. You can create as many boards as you like & save all manner of things,
like pretty images you love

or recipes

*
...or people you admire

*
...or craft ideas you want to remember.

*
When you pin something, the source link is automatically posted  for you, so that credit is given to the original creator.
It took me awhile to figure it all out, but once I did, it is actually very easy.

*
I found some of the bloggers I love to follow & now I can save some of my favorite images from there posts

* & *
...& also from their Pinterest boards. Saving all of these images, inspirations & vintage photos, plus putting them into categories, is somehow right up my alley

*
If you are already on Pinterest, I hope you will visit me there, & if you are not, perhaps you would be interested in it too.
But don't forget it can be addicting!

  1. Sally, I have a lot of friends who are on Pinterest but I haven't taken a look yet. I think it might finally be an online place for people who aren't teenagers. My students at college have abandoned Facebook and stick with Twitter and now Instagram. I think it's harder to spy on my teenagers with Twitter and Instagram. You'd probably like Instagram since it's about photos!

  3. I've been weary of it since I usually find blogging takes up more than enough time...but I do like pretty images...

  4. Thanks for the encouragement, Sally. I've been a bit befuddled by Pinterest, but will try again!
