Time to Paint

With all the snow, & now icy conditions outside, it seems that the best thing to do is stay inside & paint.

Regrettably, I no longer have my South End studio. It has taken me some time to come to terms with this loss, but with the weather as it is, painting at home is seeming more & more like the perfect option.

Gracie recently came to create her own masterpiece in my new at home studio. I know that I am very lucky to have such a cozy & bright place to paint.

Now it is just a matter of staying focused & not letting the distractions of home get in the way .... like... maybe... the computer... & the internet ??

  1. NO!!! Stay with the painting! Your work is beautiful. Your daughter's picture reminds me of my niece when she was little and I was younger. I would be working on my art assignments and she would be sitting by my chair...
Great memories you are creating for your daughter! Your studio looks very inspiring.

  2. Inspiring!!! Thanks so much. Beautiful space and paintings. I am facing the same dilemma of snowed in, distractions, yet very lucky to have the home studio space!

  3. I especially love the bottom painting. So great to have a young friend come! My sisters live in Boston... driving in the snow there is very different from here! I would be afraid, too.

  8. It's true working at home is a challenge but there are many perks as well- your daughter being inspired to work along side you is a real gift and it looks like you have a lovely spot - beautiful pictures!
Oh and more snow this week too :)
