Dreaming of France

When I woke up on Monday morning I discovered that Apple had totally changed the format of my photo gallery. All the work I had done organizing it seems to be lost. But one fun thing that they had added was grouping my photos into little slideshow videos. Although I did not do anything to create this video other than give it a title, it did take me a whole day to figure out how to download it to share. The quality of the YouTube version is unfortunately not nearly as sharp & crisp as the original. But here it is, a day late  & a bit fuzzy , my contribution to

Today is a beautiful day here in Charleston. Looks like we may get some rain tomorrow so I guess I better get out & enjoy the sun while I can.

Earth Day

Today is Earth Day  

These are not very pretty photos with which to celebrate. In fact, they are photos of the Charleston recycling center. Perhaps they can serve as a reminder of all that we need to do in order to honor the true beauty of the earth.

It is a remarkably beautiful day here in Charleston. Hopefully it is pretty where you are too. Now maybe we can all go out & do something positive for the earth.

When Dreams Meet Reality

Yes, it is that time of year again! I have made my flight reservations for France. 

So all the winter dreaming & the years of beautiful memories collide into the prospect of the future & another anticipated summer in my little French village.

Here I am in May 1991 on the first day in our house.

 

  These are the photos I took on my first day back last year.

The rest are photos taken over the years, 

all memories of the place I think of as my cherished second home.

So today especially, I am dreaming of France & am happy to share my enthusiasm with Paulita's Dreaming of France meme.
