Am I the only one who remembers paper dolls? It seems they are now a thing of the past. I have many fond memories of hours upon hours spent creating & playing with paper dolls. So when I saw the theme for this weeks drawing challenge I knew that I would be reliving a happy part of my childhood.
I am having way too much fun, time to move on to some adult activities.
Thanks Patrice for inviting me to participate & bringing out my inner child.
Hi Sally. No you are not the only one who played with paper dolls. My sister and I spent hours dressing and undressing our paper dolls. The other day in a book store I notice quite a large selection of paper dolls for sale. I wonder how many kids actually play with them or if it's adults who buy them for ourselves?
ReplyDeleteOh la la. Your paper dolls even look French. I enjoyed playing with paper dolls, both the store-bought kind, and the ones we would cut out of catalogs.

I'd say she's one of the best dressed! What a fun challenge! Last year at an estate sale I found a bunch of paper dolls -- all cut out and good to go. Yes, I bought them!

Hi Sally, You're not the only one...lol. I used to make tons of paper dolls for my daughters to dress up and am thinking of one for the new DC challenge. Loving yours! Before the summer I made a hinging mermaid and then made her a flapper friend in jet black hair and jet beads. So much fun!
