Gone Fishing

Today was the first day of summer vacation for my grandson, Jack. What better way to start off the season right but to go fishing with his Granddad. I came along too, for the fun of it.

No fish were caught, but being a beautiful day & all, there was a lot of exploring & climbing as well.

I am afraid that, that old adage ...." Gone fishing ".... is how I have been with this blog lately. Hopefully I will be back soon with something interesting to share.

In the mean time enjoy the small things & have a great weekend!

  1. Right, this is not the result of fishing that matters, it's to spend a good family day out.
You'll think I'm curious but ... are you going to go to France this summer?
    Have a nice weekend!

  2. It must be fun with you all even not catching fish!
My husband and I would go fishing with our sons....almost 20 years ago!

    Enjoy your weekend!

  3. Ah, the small things indeed! And fishing is not about catching fish, but the comradeship and nature-loving.... at least in my book. Glad your Jack had such a good time. Beautiful pics.

  7. Fishing is the best bonding activity for boys, while for girls, it’s shopping! Just kidding! Anyway, fishing is a very cool and fun activity. I don’t have any experience of it but I know this hobby is certainly swell! I just hope you’re having a great time together. Enjoy the rest of the day!
